The councillor for Town Planning, Concepción Labao, explained that it has sent a letter to suppliers related to building and construction, information technology and consumables, to provide a price list, they can analyse to reduce current costs.

The Popular Party government continues its austerity and control policy for public spending initiated last June 13 with its arrival at the Ayuntamiento. In this regard, the councillor for Town Planning, Concepción Labao, announced that they are taking the first steps for the creation of a purchasing centre which is one of the commitments made by the Popular Party in the last Municipal Elections in May.

Thus, Labao has ensured that this initiative will centralize and reduce expenditure on infrastructure purchases, operating services, municipal buildings, sports facilities, as well as in Areas of New Technologies and Reprographics, "although the intention is to gradually integrate all municipal offices.” The councillor for Town Planning said that in recent weeks there has been sent a letter to suppliers of building materials and construction, plumbing, electrical, painting, computers and consumables, to provide pre-vices of the main products used in the Vélez Consistory, "with the idea to analyse, compare and create a database that allows us to make purchases at the lowest possible price, which will mean big savings for city coffers each year," the councillor pointed out.
